Phenomenal account of the expedition,Thought I knew a lot about Shackletons story but your in-depth story -telling was a joy to listen to..I even held my breath when you did the countdown to the steam whistle!! 5 stars all day long.

Great series! I as well had never heard of Shackleton. I found the paperback of Endurance on àn airplane. I finished it in 2 days. I was stupified the tale could have been real! Yes, the fate of the dogs is bothersome. Shame on Ernest for not planning better to feed his crew and working animals. But yes, I agree....it is truly one of the greatest stories of human endurance ever told!
